Brock Tinnell

Practicum Therapist

Brock is passionate about supporting individuals and those navigating diverse relational dynamics through some of life’s most pivotal challenges. Many adults today face significant hurdles with mental health, identity, and relational well-being, often feeling overwhelmed, misunderstood, or disconnected from themselves and their partners. This can lead to frustration, stress, and burnout. Brock helps clients who experience feelings of loneliness, self-concept struggles or are adjusting to a late-in-life diagnosis of ADHD or other neurodivergent experiences and challenges. He understands the complexities that can accompany these experiences, especially in a world where men often feel pressure to mask their struggles. Brock provides a safe, accepting space where clients can shed these masks, explore who they truly are, and develop pathways to well-being and fulfillment.

For adults navigating significant life transitions—such as relocation, career changes, or evolving relationship dynamics—Brock offers a grounded approach that facilitates clarity, resilience, and connection. He works with individuals in a variety of relational structures, providing support for long-distance dynamics, adjusting to co-habitation, exploring intimacy, and adapting to the demands of change. Brock’s sessions blend empathy, insight, and practical strategies to help people strengthen their bonds and align their goals, whether they’re facing new challenges or seeking to connect with themselves and others. He works collaboratively with clients to reconnect them with their core values, supporting them in developing healthy boundaries and regulating emotions. Brock promotes mental and physical well-being by integrating mindfulness, wellness practices, and attention to sleep, nutrition, and overall health, honouring each individual’s unique strengths and needs.

Clients appreciate Brock’s warm, genuine demeanour and his ability to meet them where they are while encouraging exploration and personal growth. He brings a direct yet supportive approach, empowering clients to self-define their journey while developing tools for lasting mental and emotional wellness. Brock is particularly focused on resourcing men to overcome anxiety and depression to find direction in their lives.

Outside of therapy, Brock enjoys mindfulness practices, yoga, and intentional movement to stay grounded. He has a passion for travel, technology, and lifelong learning, which deepen his understanding of the world and fuel his curiosity. His commitment to assisting clients through complex emotions and life changes makes him a valuable support on the path to personal and relational well-being. He is dedicated to creating a safe and understanding space where clients feel empowered to explore, connect, and evolve in their own unique ways.
