Lisa Thomson, MA
Clinic Director, Registered Psychologist, LMFT
One size fits all does not apply to therapy. Lisa’s approach depends on where you are and what you need at the time. Life is fluid and our needs shift as we continue to evolve. She will meet you there.
What remains consistent in her work with all clients is that she will help you tap into your strengths so that you can take an active and positive role in living your life to the fullest. She will support you in processing challenges, identifying where you are stuck and support you in moving forward feeling empowered.
While it is very much Lisa’s belief, research also shows that your overall physical health is significantly impacted by your emotional health and your relationships. This is your life, your health, and they are your relationships. Lisa works with all of her clients to focus on what is most important to them, break unhelpful patterns, and harness inner resources. Small but important shifts can lead to a significant transformation in your personal life, your career, your health, and your happiness.
Originally from a business background, Lisa is a Registered Psychologist and a Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist, with a Dual Credential in Marriage and Family Therapy and Pupil and Personnel Services. Her experience ranges from integrating Mental Health services into school systems, supervising and training graduate-level and early-career therapists, to working with individuals and couples through significant life transitions, relationship gridlock, and the balance of relationship with self.
